Funori seaweed is harvested in spring and summer, carefully washed and quickly dried at high temperature to preserve its fragrances, aromas and flavors.
A recommended preparation: traditionally, Japanese enjoy this seaweed in miso soups. For Western palates, we recommend rinsing the seaweed generously and soaking it in boiling salted water for about 30 seconds before rinsing thoroughly with cold water and drying.
