Nisshoku's buckwheat, known as ‘soba’ in Japanese, is 100% pure. It is grown in Sorachi on the island of Hokkaido.

This ‘Kitawase Soba’ variety is considered the best in Japan. The buckwheat used by Nisshoku comes from sustainable agriculture that does not use pesticides. Rich in high-quality protein, vitamin B3 and rutoside, this buckwheat is easily absorbed by the body.

Its taste and aroma are incomparable. In Japan, buckwheat is traditionally hulled and ground and used as the main ingredient in Japanese noodles, also called ‘soba’.

But buckwheat bran also has excellent nutritional values. Nisshoku's buckwheat flakes are only crushed, thus retaining their bran and nutritional values.

To discover the exceptional aroma of these buckwheat flakes, we recommend trying them on their own.

Our perfect combination: These buckwheat flakes can be enjoyed traditionally in the morning for breakfast with milk or quark. You will be surprised when you sprinkle them over a raw vegetable salad, pasta, rice or ice cream... They are exquisite when combined with game meat in quenelles. We also recommend using these buckwheat flakes as breadcrumbs for your prawn or squid fritters, chicken nuggets, breaded cutlets and fish, breaded fruit and vegetable pieces and other fried foods. The crispness is exceptional and subtle.
